Biography

Ellis Barkworth attended South Hunsley School before joining the Hull City youth team system. He made his City debut in a League Cup tie at Doncaster Rovers in August 2017 before joining Northern Premier League side Tadcaster Albion in March 2018 on a short term loan. Ellis left the Tigers in May 2018 and returned to Tadcaster on a permanent deal in July 2018, moving to Northern Premier LErague side Scarborough Athletic and Northern Counties East League side Barton Town over the next two years.

He joined Northern Counties East League side Bridlington Town at the start of the 2020/21 season and stayed on the East Coast for several seasons as they moved up to the Northern Premier League. In July 2024 he joined Northern Counties East League side Barton Town but left the club in May 2025 after 9 appearances, by which time he had opened a barber’s shop in Brough.
