Biography

Hard working striker Kyle Joseph joined the Tigers during the January 2025 transfer window and slotted straight into the first team for his debut in a famous 3-0 win at Sheffield United.
Kyle Alexander Joseph was born in North London suburb Chipping Barnet, but grew up in Southport, Merseyside. As a teenager he joined the academy at local club Wigan Athletic and signed his first professional contract in February 2019. In October 2020 he made his senior debut in a League One match against Northampton Town and netted his first senior goal against Sunderland in December 2020. At the end of December 2020 he scored his first career hattrick against Burton Albion and by the end of the 2020/21 season he had scored five goals in 20 appearances.
In June 2021 Joseph joined Championship side Swansea City for a £500,000 fee. He made his Swans debut in an August 2021 EFL Trophy match against Reading but at the end of August 2021 he joined League One side Cheltenham Town on loan. He scored four goals in 22 appearances for Cheltenham before his loan was terminated early in January 2022 and he spent the remainder of the season as a Swansea first team squad member, taking his Swans tally to 12 appearances. In August 2022 Joseph joined Oxford United, another League One side, on a season long loan and ended the 2022/23 season with ten goals in 41 appearances.
In July 2023 Kyle left Swansea City and joined League One side Blackpool. He made his debut for the Tangerines in an August 2023 EFL Cup tie against Derby County but had to wait until November 2023 before he won a regular first team berth. At the start of the 2024/25 season, playing under former Tigers manager Steve Bruce, Joseph scored five goals in his first twelve League appearances and by January 2025 he had scored nine goals in 66 appearances for Blackpool, ahead of his move to Hull City.
Joseph qualified to play international football for Scotland through family lineage and played two games for Scotland’s Under-18 side during 2018. He made his first appearance for Scotland Under-19s in February 2019 against Azerbaijan before adding five further appearances by the end of the 2019/20 season. He was elevated to Scotland’s Under-21 squad at the end of the 2020/21 season, making his sole appearance in June 2021 against Northern Ireland.
