848 Jason Price

Biography

Nippy winger Price joined the Tigers in 2003 as part of Peter Taylor’s revolutionised City squad. His first season saw a major impact as his goals and assist propelled the Tigers to their first promotion in nineteen years. Price’s role during his second League One season was primarily as impact substitute, and in his third season in the Championship he was a squad depth player. Price was a popular player throughout his two and a half seasons at City, and is still remembered by supporters as a favourite from that era.

Hailing from Aberdare in South Wales, Price began his career as a teenager at Swansea City, and was a first team regular for the Swans during much of his six year spell on the Tawe. Spells at Brentford and Tranmere preceded his move to the Tigers.

Price left City in January 2006 for Doncaster Rovers and he spent three and a half seasons in South Yorkshire. He then embarked on a roaming late-career that took him to Millwall, Carlisle, Barnet and a number of loans spells, before delving into the non-League scene and playing into his 40s. He now has a plumbing business in the Huddersfield area.

Price was capped seven times for the Wales under-21 team in 2000 and 2001.
