1111 Josh Hinds

Biography

Striker Anthony Omarian Joshua “Josh” Hinds was born in Essex and came through the academy ranks at West Ham United before being released by the Hammers in 2020 and joining the Hull City Academy. Hinds signed his first professional contract in May 2021 and after impressing during pre-season he made his first team debut in late August 2021 when he came off the bench to replace another debutant Tyler Smith. In November 2021 he was loaned to Northern Premier League side Spalding Town to gain experience, returning at Christmas as a COVID19 outbreak put pressure on City’s squad numbers. He made his second appearance as a late substitute in a FA Cup tie against Premier League side Everton, then had a loan spell at Gainsborough Trinity in March and April 2022.

Devoid of first team action at the start of the 2022/23 season, Hinds joined National League North side Boston United on loan in November 2022 but made only one substitute appearance for the Pilgrims before returning to City. He had a second loan at divisional rival Bradford Park Avenue in February 2023 and left the Tigers in May 2023.

After a spell out of the game Josh joined Scottish Championship side Queens Park in February 2024, but within a month he was on the move again, joining English National League South side Truro City. Truro were about to embark on a massive fixture backlog, playing three times a week for several weeks to complete their fixture obligations – days after signing for the Cornwall side Josh came off the bench to make his debut against Tonbridge Angels and scored a winning goal within five minutes – he ended the season with one goal in 12 appearances and left the club in June 2024.

In July 2024 Hinds returned to Scottish Championship side Queens Park.
