Biography

Youth team product Joshua Philip Clackstone hailed from Beverley and came through the ranks at Hull City’s academy. With the Tigers competing in the Premier League, Josh was loaned to League 2 side Notts County in January 2017 and he made 8 appearances for the Magpies, starting with his senior debut in February 2017 against Exeter City.

Clackstone made his City debut in a League Cup tie at Doncaster Rovers in August 2017, his only appearance for the club.  In November 2017 Josh spent a month on loan at Halifax Town, making 5 appearances, but was released by the Tigers in May 2018.

Josh signed for National League North side Alfreton Town in July 2018 and served the Reds for several years while working for the Tigers Sport and Education Trust. In September 2021 he began working as a pastoral staff member at Malet Lambert School in East Hull.
