Biography

Winger Jahraldo-Martin was signed from Isthmian League side Dulwich Hamlet in March 2013 after a successful trial, making his City debut in the League Cup five months later.  But City’s elevation to the Premier League hampered his chances of breaking into the first team and he had various loan spells to gain experience. In November 2014 he joined League Two side Tranmere Rovers on a one month loan, making 4 appearances. In January 2015 he joined Scottish Championship side Alloa Athletic on a half season loan but made only 2 appearances. Then finally in January 2016 he joined League Two side Leyton Orient on a half season loan that saw him make his January 2016 debut against Stevenage and score his only goal for the Os three weeks later against Wycombe Wanderers. Leyton Orient did not take up the option to sign Calaum permanently that summer and after three seasons he left the Tigers with only 4 substitute appearances for under his belt.

Calum Jahraldo-Martin was born in the London suburbs of Hemel Hempstead but was raised in Antigua, Jamaica and, from the age of 11, Harrow in North West London. During the summer of 2011 Jahraldo-Martin was offered a number of trials with Football League clubs, but a chaotic approach to attending those trials hampered his progress despite being highly regarded by the FootballCV organisation that was promoting his cause. He eventually accepted an offer to play for National League South side Boreham Wood but played infrequently during the 2011/12 season.  In July 2012 he joined Isthmian League side Dulwich Hamlet where in 20 appearances his pace alerted league scouts once more and led to his move to Hull City on an eighteen month contract that was later extended by a further year.

In August 2016 Calaum moved to League One side Oldham Athletic where he made 5 appearances between August and November 2016.  In August 2017 he signed for League Two side Newport County where he made 6 appearances during his one season in South Wales.  In July 2018 he returned to Boreham Wood, now playing in the National League, but the folloiwng month he switched to National League South side Hemel Hempstead Town. A further move in October 2018 saw Jahraldo-Martin join National League South rivals Billericay Town where he saw out the 2018/19 season.

Calaum gave up playing in the summer of 2019 and co-founded Firstluxe Group, a concierge business providing goods and services to elite sports people.

Jahraldo-Martin was a regular in the Antigua and Barbuda international team, having previously scored one goal in 6 appearances for the Under-20s during 2012. Calum made his senior debut against Anguilla in September 2014, scoring a debut goal. He was a regular for four seasons, scoring further goals against Grenada (two) in June 2016 and Bahamas (two) in October 2018. He returned for one final cap against Montserrat in March 2021, after his playing days were behind him, taking his tally to five goals in 24 senior international caps.
