Biography

Robinio Vaz was a tall striker who joined Hull City on a season-long loan in August 2026 to add goals and attacking threat to Hull City’s Premier League squad, he made his debut in a League Cup tie at Sunderland and impressed with his direct running and neat touches.

Robinio Vaz was born in Mantes-la-Jolie, a town on the River Seine forty miles west of French capital Paris, to parents that hailed from Guinea-Bissau and Senegal. He played junior football in his local town side FC Mantois 76 before joining the academy at French Ligue 2 side FC Sochaux-Montbeliard in 2022, scoring regularly for the Under-19 side during the 2023/24 season and attracting the attention of top flight French clubs.

In August 2024 Robinio signed for Ligue 1 side Marseille, after cutting his teeth for half a season in the Under-19 side he made his senior debut for Marseille in a January 2025 Coupe de France tie against Lille – a week later he made his Ligue 1 debut against RC Strasbourg. At the start of the 2025/26 season Vaz was part of the Marseille first team squad and was used mostly as a substitute – he scored his first senior goal against Le Havre in October 2025, adding a brace against Angers two weeks later. He also made four appearances in the Champions League group stage – by January 2026 he had scored four goals for Marseille in 22 appearances.

In January 2026 Robinio transferred to Italy Serie A side Roma for a fee reported to be 25 million euro. He made his January 2026 debut against Torino and was used as a substitute during the rest of the season, scoring his first goal for I Lupi against Lecce in March 2026. He had scored one goal for Roma in 14 appearances ahead of his loan move to Hull City.

Vaz was part of France international teams throughout his teenage years. He scored two goals – both against Saudi Arabia – in 6 appearances for France Under-16 during April and May 2023, then made 2 appearances for France Under-17 in September 2023, both against Slovenia. In June 2025 he made 4 appearances for the France Under-18 side, scoring goals against Argentina and Japan. In September 2025 he made his debut for France Under-19 against Spain.
