963 Sonny Bradley

Biography

Bradley was a locally born defender who came through the City youth and reserves system.  He was thrust in to the first team as a 19 year old due to defensive injuries, making his two appearances for the Tigers in March and April 2012.  He spent the following season on loan at Aldershot.

In May 2013 Bradley signed for Portsmouth where he spent just one season in the first team.  The next summer he switched to Crawley, then an up and coming team, where he continued to play regularly for two seasons.  Sonny then had two successful seasons at Plymouth, marshalling the Pilgrims to promotion to League One in his first season.  In June 2018 he switched to newly promoted League 1 side Luton Town and became a first team fixture and team captain at Kenilworth Road, extending his contract in May 2021 then leaving the Hatters in May 2023 just as they ascended to the Premier League via the play-offs.

In July 2023, amid rumours that he might return to the Tigers, Sonny signed for League 1 side Derby County and struggled for form in the opening weeks of the season.
