Biography
Young defender Fidler was a recently-released Leeds United junior who joined the Tigers on on-contract terms in December 1995 and made his debut immediately. He was not selected again by manager Terry Dolan but served the City reserves well for the remainder of the season, leaving the club in the summer of 1996.
Fidler studied at Sheffield Hallam University and played for nearby non-league sides, principally Stocksbridge Park Steels. He became a sports journalist after his studies, riisng to Chief Executive of his own media agency.
While at Leeds, Fidler was a England Youth team regular and captain.
