1008 Matty Dixon

Biography

Locally born midfielder Dixon was a product of City’s academy that made a solitary appearance in the League Cup at Accrington in August 2015.

Dixon left the Tigers in Summer 2016 and six months at York City before returning east and signing for Conference National rivals North Ferriby United.  Dixon signed for Spennymoor Town in July 2017.  A year later he switched to East Coast phoenix club Scarborough Athletic.  Another year on and Dixon headed up the East Coast and signed for Whitby Town, returning south to Gainsborough Trinity in August 2020.  A year later in July 2021 he signed for Bridlington Town, for whom he was an ever-present during the 2021/22 season, then in July 2022 he moved to Tadcaster Albion.  After a brief stint at Grantham Town he rejoined Bridlington Town in March 2023, returning to North Ferriby United after a seven year absence in February 2024.
