Biography

Thomas Golden Teasdale was born in Easington on the County Durham coast and raised in nearby Seaham. He played his only game for Hull City in May 1947 as the club completed its fixtures due to a heavy winter, while also struggling to raise a full team of eleven players due to the time pressures imposed by National Service duties. Teasdale was a trialist that had been plucked from the local football scene in County Durham – he played one game on the left wing, did not impress and disappeared from whence he came.
Returning to County Durham, in 1949 and 1950 he played in the Houghton & District League for Herrington Colliery Welfare. He died in the East Durham area in the summer months of 1988.
