Attacking midfielder Callum Graham Jones joined the Tigers in August 2019, having previously impressed with Welsh League side The New Saints and during short spells at Oswestry Town and Bury. He made his City debut in a September 2020 EFL Trophy tie and made his League debut four days later at Gillingham. Callum scored his first City goal, and captained the first team, against Harrogate Town in November 2020.
In June 2021 Jones joined newly promoted Morecambe on a season long loan to gain further experience at League One level. After 18 senior appearances and two goals – the second of which was against local rivals Fleetwood Town – the Tigers terminated Callum’s loan in January 2022 as new owner Acun Ilicali’s team looked to evaluate the full squad available. After spending a few games on City’s first team bench, in early March 2022 Jones moved to Conference National side Grimsby Town on loan.
Jones was capped for the Wales Under-18 squad while at The New Saints. After an impressive start to the 2020/21 season Callum was selected for the Wales Under-19 squad in October 2020.
