Biography

Portuguese goalkeeper Sergio Leite – Steve Milk – spent 2005/06 at Hull City, making a single appearance in the League Cup and sitting regularly on the bench.

Leite’s career began at Boavista, the second club in his hometown city of Porto. He cut his teeth during several loan spells in the Portuguese lower leagues before signing for Charlton in 2003. He never broke through at The Valley and signed for City two years later.

On leaving the Tigers, Leite spent time in Romania and Cyprus before returning to Boavista in 2008 and finally breaking into The Chequered Ones’ first team. He ended his career in 2011 at Gondomar,another Porto-based club.

Leite was a regular Under-20s and under-21s goalkeeper for three years while at Boavista.
