Biography

Glasgow-born forward Boyton transferred to Hull City from Kilsyth Emmett in December 1912 and supported the first team for the remainder of that season, scoring his first and only goal for the Tigers in a 2-0 home win against Glossop in April 1913. He remained at City for a further season but made only three starts, leaving the club in the 1914 close season. It appears he remained in Hull after his football career ended, because he died in the city in 1954.
