Biography
Mancunian left back Rob Miller came through the youth system at Oldham Athletic but never made it to the first team at Boundary Park. He signed for City on a free transfer in October 1992 and slotted straight into the first team slot that City had struggled to fill since Wayne Jacobs suffered a long term injury nine months earlier. Miller missed five games in January 1993 then injury meant he was again absent in March 1993 before returning for a handful of substitute appearances.
He started the last three fixtures of the 1992/93 season but at the start of the 1993/94 season manager Terry Dolan turned to other players to fulfil the left back role. After two starts in November 1993 Miller was again dropped and his contract was cancelled a couple of months later. Rob did not continue his football career and melted into obscurity.
