Biography

Inside forward Patrick Lee joined the Tigers in June 1925. Lee was born in Uddingston, a town east of Glasgow on the River Clyde, and began his career at local amateur side Vale of Clyde. He quickly found his way into the City first team and scored his first goals for City in a 4-0 victory over Southampton in September 1925. By October he was not involved in the first eleven, through he did return to play intermittently during the rest of his first season. In 1926/27 Lee was a less regular first team presence, although he did get five consecutive starts early in the season, repeating his September two-goals-in-a-4-0-win feat against Clapton Orient. He left the Tigers in the 1927 close season.
Lee joined Accrington Stanley after leaving City, in 1930 he moved to Ireland then returned to Scotland in 1931, ending his playing career in 1934. He returned to his roots and lived in Strathaven, a few miles south of his birthplace, dying in March 1981.
