Biography
Pacy winger Ahmed Mamdoh Abdel Salam came through the youth team ranks at Hull City after being associated with Leeds United until the age of 10. He joined Gainsborough Trinity on loan in March 2020, though his appearances were curtailed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ahmed made his first team debut in an EFL Trophy tie against Harrogate Town in November 2020 and remained around the first team matchday squad for much of the 2020/21 League One champions season. In July 2021 he joined Northern Irish side Linfield on a season loan alongside Billy Chadwick and netted 4 goals in 38 appearances for the NIFL title winners. Despite this achievement, Salam was not retained by the Tigers and he left the club in May 2022.
In September 2022 Ahmed joined Derbyshire-based National League North side Alfreton Town, scoring three goals in 22 appearances during the 2022/23 season. In July 2023 he joined Gibraltar Football League side Manchester 62 and quickly began scoring regular goals.
