Biography
Imposing midfielder N’Diaye was acquired by Marco Silva on the final day of the January 2017 transfer window, and made an immediate impact with a debut goal against Liverpool. Alfred went on to play an important role in the Tigers revival under Silva, combining neat link-up play with tough tackling.
Born in Paris, N’Diaye’s career took him to Turkey and Spain following early years at AS Nancy. A brief spell at Sunderland soon petered out into loan spells.
N’Diaye returned to Villareal on expiry of his loan to Hull City. In August 2017 he returned to England and signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers on a season-long loan. He spent the following in the rather more agreeable setting of Malaga CF in Spain. In the 2019 close season his contract for Villareal finally expired and headed to the desert, joining Saudi side Al Shabab on a three year contract. After one goal in 71 appearances for Al Shabab in three seasons he returned to Spain in September 2022 and signed for La Liga 2 side Malaga FC, scoring once in 24 appearances. But Malaga were unable to prevent relegation from the second tier and N’Diaye left the club in July 2023.
In February 2024 N’Diaye joined Armenian top flight side Noah Yerevan, debuting in early March 2024 against Alashkert FC. He left the club four months later in June 2024 having made 8 appearances.
After playing at all youth levels for France up to under-21s, Alfred made his full international debut for Senegal in 2013.
