Biography

Locally raised forward Clubley was seventeen when he came to City’s attention in 1939 and made a solitary Divisional Cup appearance against Bradford City. A player of some promise, Clubley’s senior career was curtailed by World War 2, though he did play wartime fixtures for the Tigers for a couple of years. He remained in East Yorkshire after his football career ended and died in 1989.
