Famous for his impressive moniker (the "of" is the equivalent of a "-" in an English double barrelled name), Jan is also a proven target man and goalscorer who was a free agent when he signed for City in early September 2009, after his summer release from Celtic.  The first ten years of his career were spent at Twente Enschede and PSV Eindhoven, where he netted an impressive 140 goals in 300 appearances.  This record encouraged Celtic to part with £3.4 million for his services, and he continued to contribute regular goals as well as cement his international career with three goals in Holland friendlies during 2007 and 2008.  J-Voh brought aerial power and goals to the City forward line as well as considerable experience.  His sole season at City was a decent one, albeit punctuated with few goals, but his contract expired in Summer 2010 and he signed for nippy Austrian side Rapid Vienna. A season in the Alps came and went, and Jan returned to Holland, earning a short term contract at PSV Eindhoven in October 2011.
