Former Australian left back Van Blerk was signed along with Sneekes in the Carlton Palmer Stockport clearance sale.  Provided experienced cover for Holt and Price while they went to the bar for a round.  Failed to win a contract once Jan Molby took the reins, and headed to the Welsh border.  After half a season in the non-Leagues he returned to Australia before coming back to the UK to help Macclesfield try and avoid dropping out of the League.
