Rock solid centre back Skipper started young at City before being released to join Darlington.  After two seasons of good form at Feethams Skip returned to City and was a vital part of the successful mid 80s side crafted by Brian Horton.  A big money move to Oldham didn't work out but he continued to give good lower league service to three more clubs.
Skip still lives in the Hull area and turns out regularly for the Ex-Tigers XI, where despite dodgy knees he still dominates proceedings with his strength.
