Manchester United - (H) Lost 0-1

Bolton Wanderers - (A) Drew 1-1

Sat 9 May, Barclays Premier League

Stoke City - (H) Lost 1-2

After a shaky start during which the Tigers dominate but fail to score, Stoke City showed how much better they have adapted to the rigours of Premier League football than Hull City as they cruise into a two goal lead, only pegged back by an injury time Dawson free kick.  Click the link to read Matthew Rudd's match report.

Mon 4 May, Barclays Premier League

Aston Villa - (A) Lost 0-1

Over-cautious and denied the services of captain Ian Ashbee within ten minutes, City travel to Aston Villa and lose 1-0, only showing real desire to score in the closing stages.  Click the link to read Steve Weatherill's match report.

Liverpool - (H) Lost 1-3

Sunderland - (A) Lost 0-1

Middlesbrough - (A) Lost 1-3

Portsmouth - (H) Drew 0-0

Wigan Athletic - (A) Lost 0-1

Arsenal - (A) Lost 1-2

After a fabulous flowing first half, during which the Tigers took an unlikely lead, Arsenal won this Sixth Round cup tie thanks to a decidedly dubious late goal as City retreat into defensive mode and the referee provides an appalling display of big club favouritism.  Click the link to read Ian Thomson's match report.

Newcastle United - (H) Drew 1-1

Fulham - (A) Won 1-0

Tumultuous scenes as the Tigers' long winless streak finally comes to an end after two days short of three months - an injury time Manucho striker sealing three points against Fulham, who had latterly been unbeatable at home.  Click the link to read Ed Bacon's match report.

Blackburn Rovers - (H) Lost 1-2

Sheffield United - (H) Won 2-1

Tottenham Hotspur - (H) Lost 1-2

Sheffield United - (A) Drew 1-1

Chelsea - (A) Drew 0-0

West Bromwich Albion - (H) Drew 2-2

West Ham United - (A) Lost 0-2

Millwall - (H) Won 2-0

Arsenal - (H) Lost 1-3

Wed 14 January, E-ON F A Cup Third Round Replay

Newcastle United - (A) Won 1-0

Icy conditions and two poor sides conspire to generate little interest in the Cup replay, indeed the banishment to the stands of both managers after some touchline argy-bargy was perhaps the highlight.  But it is the Tigers that progress to the Fourth Round thanks to a late Daniel Cousin strike.  Click the link to read Mike Scott's match report.

Everton - (A) Lost 0-2

Aston Villa - (H) Lost 0-1

Manchester City - (A) Lost 1-5

Sunderland - (H) Lost 1-4

For once the Tigers suffer some bad luck and come up against a committed away side in Sunderland that were galvanised by their caretaker manager Ricky Sbragia, who end up administering a 4-1 tonking to the Tigers.  Click the link to read James Lockwood's match report.

Sat 13 December, Barclays Premier League

Liverpool - (A) Drew 2-2

More astounding scenes on the Tigers travels as City ease into an early 2-0 lead at Anfield of all places, before Steven Gerrard inspired a first half comeback, City eventually battling through the second half onslaught to earn a point.  Click the link to read Mark Gretton's match report.

Middlesbrough - (H) Won 2-1

Stoke City - (A) Drew 1-1

Portsmouth - (A) Drew 2-2

Manchester City - (H) Drew 2-2

Bolton Wanderers - (H) Lost 0-1

Chelsea - (H) Lost 0-3

West Bromwich Albion - (A) Won 3-0

West Ham United - (H) Won 1-0

Tottenham Hotspur - (A) Won 1-0

Arsenal - (A) Won 2-1

Another momentous episode in the recent upswing in fortunes for hitherto downtrodden Hull City, the Tigers travel to the Emirates Stadium and after a first half lesson in how to try (and fail) to walk the ball into the net, Arsenal capitulate to City's attacking fervour and three historic points are smuggled back to East Yorkshire as the Gunners are, indeed, mauled by the Tigers.  Click the link to read Ed Bacon's match report.

Swansea City - (A) Lost 1-2 (after extra time)

Blackburn Rovers - (A) Drew 1-1
