On Cloud Seven – Hull City’s players

A website dedicated to the footballers who have played a senior competitive football match for Hull City, since 1904…

…and the “nearly men” who sat on the Hull City bench one or more times but never made a senior appearance…

…plus a list of all the grounds where Hull City has played, designed to satisfy even the most ardent groundhoppers and groundtickers…

…and interactive features so that you can add your own memories and knowledge about your City heroes.  If you have additional information about a player – he’s a family member, you have an interesting anecdote, he once fixed your boiler, etc – then please leave details in the comments box on the player’s page.

🆕 New addition
Powerful and creative midfielder Julian Johnsson spent just one season at City in 2002/02 and impressed, only to return to his native Faroe islands due to homesickness. He won 62 caps for his national side and now coaches in Denmark.

Hello, @EFL!

🆕 New addition
Hoof! Steve Terry was a no-nonsense defender for City in the late 80s, coming to Boothferry Park in his prime after a long career at Watford. His trademark headband saw much action as he headed crosses and, occasionally, strikers.

@oncloudseven1 Very interesting. I’d always assumed that Holderness only established itself as a hotbed of footballing talent in the late 20th century (Chillo, Hawley, S Gray, etc). Turns out it’s alway been that way.

🆕 New addition
Forward Ernie Shepherd joined Raich Carter's Tigers in March 1949, moving on to QPR in 1950. Though the bulk of his career was spent in the south (Fulham and QPR as a player, Southend as a manager) he hailed from Wombwell near Barnsley.
