Last-payday seeking show-pony or the epitomy of the next stage of development for Hull City AFC?   Augustine Azuka Okocha has a superb club and international record (74 caps for Nigeria) and at 34 he is still capable of turning it on to devastating effect.  It is up to Phil Brown, his assistant manager throughout much of JJ's time at Bolton, to bring the good stuff out of him.
Okocha's career began in earnest for German side Borussia Neunkirchen before his career took off with big club moves to Eintracht Frankfurt, Fenerbache, Paris St-Germain and, from 2002 until a short spell in Qatar football, Bolton Wanderers.
All in all, a remarkable signing.  His early form for City could best be described as patchy and punctuated by injury, but there were occasions when he turned games on their head.  In the end though, JJ's contribution was not sufficient to convince Phil Brown that he could cut it again in the Premier League and he was released.
