Blooded at the end of Brian Horton's spell in charge at City, Leigh was a pacey winger who promised much as a youngster and developed a "shuffle" which for a season or two bemused many a full back.  In the end his big chance came and he signed for Coventry.  After three seasons in the Cov reserves he headed north to Scotland to make his fortune, and after a brief sojourn at Wigan he  returned north.  Was last spotted in early 2001 during an unsuccessful trial for Donny Rovers.
