Vastly experienced Welsh international wide man Hodges came to City at the tail end of his career after being plucked from the Hong Kong leagues by Billy Kirkwood. Hodges' deft touches and intelligent passing were a joy to behold, and encouraged Premiership chasing Nottingham Forest to activate a big club release clause in his City contract.
In 2002-03 he was appointed manager of cash-strapped Barnsley, but released when the ownership of the club changed in July 2003.  Hodges currently manages the Blackburn Rovers reserve side.
