Review of last year :
- We had just over 100 members in
2003/2004.
- We ordered over 500 tickets for matches,
all of which were received from Hull City.
- We spent £300 on Hull City Player
Sponsorship.
- Our current financial state is that we
have a bank account balance of £xxxx.
- It was generally acknowledge that
2003/04 had not been a good year for HCSS and that apart from the
Travel Guide, a couple of Tigers Eyes and the ticket ordering service,
not a great deal had been offered to members.
New Committee members :
Subscription fees :
- With this year being both the 20th
anniversary of the HCSS, and the 100th anniversary of Hull City, it
was decided that subscription fees for the next year will be set at £5.
This was also recognition of the fact that last season HCSS failed to
deliver to its usual standards.
- The treasurer will investigate the
possibility of an on-line payment account for new members joining
through the website (something like pay-pal).
Player Sponsorship :
- It was decided that a £400 limit will
be set aside for the sponsorship of players. Adrian will contact Rob
Smith at Hull City to see what we can get for this.
Social events :
- With this being both the 20th
anniversary of the HCSS, we will be organising a number of social
events for members.
- HCSS Away trip
- As in previous season, the HCSS are
looking at providing a bus trip for one match this season. Two
suggestions are Wrexham away on Saturday 30th October (where we
may also have a morning football match against a team in Wrexham).
- The other was Swindon away on
Saturday 20th November. The only alternative is to wait and see
who we draw in the FA cup.
- Hull City v Bradford City.
- There have been confirmed reports
that the match between Hull City and Bradford City on Tuesday
August 31st will be televised by Sky. We will be looking again at
finding a central London pub to watch this match.
Fans Forum :
- Depending on what Hull City arrange, we
are hoping for a fans forum on the evening before the game against
Colchester on Friday 10th December.
- The alternative is the night before the
game against Brentford on Friday April 6th (hopefully as we'd have won
the league by then, Peter Taylor may allow us access to some of the
players).
