Pepe Goodison was a composed defender and midfielder of the highest pedigree.  With numerous international appearances for Jamaica and a 1998 World Cup captaincy under his belt, Ian was undoubtedly a gifted footballer, although on occasions the frantic pace of the Division Three thunder storm caught him out.  Overall, a class act.
After a couple of years out of the game and back in Jamaica, after the odd trial here and there with league clubs, Pepe was reunited with Brian Little at Tranmere where he stayed for ten seasons, attaining legendary status on the Wirral.
