Highly regarded young keeper signed for £50,000 to compete alongside Paul Musselwhite after a highly lauded loan spell at Carlisle.  Started 2002-03 as the first choice for the Tigers despite alleged problems with weight and ale consumption.  When his off-field antics were compounded by a series of fumbling performances the writing was on the wall, and as Peter Taylor arrived so the deal to offload Matt to Carlisle that was brokered by Molby was completed.  A wasted talent - what a stupid sod you are Matt.
May 2004 - Carlisle United relegated to Conference
Despite helping Carlisle back into the football league in 2004-05 Glennon was not offered a sufficient contract to meet his needs and he moved kilt-wards to Scottish Premier new-boys Falkirk.  Neither that move nor a subsequent one to St Johnstone lasted long - although he did score a last minute goal from a corner while based in Perth.  In Summer 2006 he returned south to Huddersfield Town and was a terriers regular for two and a half season before being usurped by young prospect Smithies.  Released from his contract, he joined Bradford City in January 2010 but ws released again the following summer, joining Stockport County.
