Experienced wide man well known to Phil Brown from his Bolton days, Stelios was a free agent when he signed for the Tigers after having left Bolton in the Summer of 2008.  Prior to Bolton Stelios enjoyed a ten year career in Greece with Ethnikos, Paniliakos and Olympiakos.  His signing appeared to bring a useful wide option to the Tigers' Premier League squad while allowing the Greek international to stake a claim on regaining his international place.  Alas he wasn't up to much and after a woeful run-out in the Cup against Newcastle he was released and returned to Greece to play for Larissa.  Stelios subsequently hung up his boots and is now President of the Greek Professional Footballers' Association.
