City junior given a LDV Vans run-out by Peter Taylor in his early days at the Tigers helm.  City fought off several higher ranked clubs to sign Russell on YTS forms, an arrangement that was soon converted to a full contract in Spring 2003.  At 17 Fry was considered by Peter Taylor to be the most promising young player on City's books but he failed to fulfil that potential and burst into regular first team contention.
Was loaned to Halifax Town during August 2006 and Hinckley United during October 2006 before being released in May 2007.
September 2007 - signed for York City
November 2007 - joined North Ferriby United
