After a fairly low key early career at Bristol Rovers and a disappointing loan spell at Woking, French came to City with plenty to prove.  He failed.
Subsequently he carved out a long career with Welsh League side Barry Town, the highlight being when he scored in a European Cup qualifier in 2001.
July 2003 - joined Weston-super-Mare.
October 2006 - joined Mangotsfield Town.
