Nippy and skilful striker signed from Scunthorpe United to add flair to the Tigers' attack, Eyre impressed intermittently with his abilities and his goals.  A nasty elbow injury curtailed his 1999-00 two months early, and after another injury ravaged season in 2000-01 he was released by Brian Little and rejoined his first club Oldham.
January 2006 - joined North Ferriby United
July 2006 - joined Brigg Town
In 2010 Eyre was appointed Hull City's Kit Manager.
