"The Duke" was a pacey young striker who inhabited the fringes of the first team squad after being blooded at 16 and a half.  At only 18 he was dispatched to the South West to enjoy a Grecian 2000, but was soon off-loaded once more.  The non-leagues duly beckoned.
After three seasons at Gainsborough, Lee has attracted several league scouts thanks to his regular net-rippling habits.  One who still may yet make it - if he does then Mark Hateley, who showed faith in the youngster, will be allowed a minor plus point.
