Six foot five goalkeeper who failed to make the grade as a youngster at Sheffield United after signing from Alfreton Town, before making his name at Burton Albion and convincing Taylor to part with 20 grand plus follow-on fees in the Summer of 2004.  Has played a bit part role on the bench for three seasons and not yet let the side down when called upon.
In January 2008 it was announced that Matt required surgery to treat a testicular tumour, which kept him out of first team action for a few months, but he returned later that season to inhabit the bench once more.  Good lad.
