Another capture from the crop of 2010 Manchester United reserves, Leeds-born Dudgeon is a left sided defender with a reputation for a long throw.  He had a brief spell on loan at Carlisle United in January 2011, replacing another City-bound Manchester United loanee James Chester, where he made his league debut.  Joe is qualified to play for Northern Ireland and has already appeared twice for the Under-21 side.
His first season at City saw him share left back duties with veteran Andy Dawson and fulfil a useful auxiliary midfielder role from the bench.
