A Welshman who made his debut as a 16 year old boy in November 1974, Steve Doyle had 15 years' experience under his belt when he joined City at the start of the 1989-90 season.  He scuttled around in midfield for a while without really catching the eye, and soon moved on to Spotland to close out a long journeyman career in the game.
