Tricky right sided player equally adept in defence and midfield.  Doyle made his League bow at Derby at 16 but didn't develop into a first team asset in the same way as fellow in-the-deep-end Rams youngster Tom Huddlestone.  Had a successful loan spell at Bradford terminated in order to join the Tigers.  His chances of first team action have been limited but he performed well when required, none more so than when he came on as substitute left back during the first half of the April 2007 Crystal Palace play-off clincher and performed superbly in both defence and attack.  Joined Barnsley on a loan deal in September 2009 as Premier League starts were few and far between, and rejoined them permanently during the following January's transfer window.
