Fleet of foot goalscorer that etched a good reputation in Manchester United's reserve side and at United's renowned feeder club Royal Antwerp, before joining the Tigers in October 2007 on a season long loan to add firepower to Phil Brown's squad.  His impact was immediate and massive as his raw pace and adept finishing did much to propel the Tigers to the play-offs and the Premier League.  Protracted attempts to re-sign Campbell for the 2008-09 season failed as Sir Alex used Campbell as a makeweight in a deal to sign Dimitar Berbatov.  And in the summer of 2009 the Tigers agreed a transfer fee with Manchester United, only for Campbell to procrastinate long enough and hard enough for Sunderland to step in and gazump the deal - a series of events that ired many City fans unused to young men making career choices based on their own personal betterment rather than the fate of a football club they once played for for a few months. His time at Sunderland was blotted for over a year by knee injury, but he announced his return in January 2012 with two fine goals in two games as he spearheaded Martin O'Neill's transformation.
