One of the legion of players driven out of Feethams by the ludicrous antics of chairman and self-publicist George Reynolds, Brumwell was an ex-Sunderland trainee who was signed to add strength to the Tigers' midfield squad.  After a 5 month spell where first team chances were rare, he returned to Darlington.
