Debuting for Crystal Palace at 15, Bostock was regarded as one of England's most promising teenage talents when he signed for Tottenham Hotspur in May 2008.  After two season son the fringes at White Hart Lane, Bostock joined City for a season-long loan to add pace and skill to the Tiger midfield - a move that bought instant return as he spanked in a 30 yard screamer within half an hour of his debut against Swansea.  He also scored a fine equalising free kick at Leeds ... and that was about it, apart from the frustration of seeing him run down countless blind alleys and coughing possession cheaply.
His loan was terminated mutually in December 2010, five months short.  League One is beckoning, John ... and so it proved in January 2012 when he was loaned to Sheffield Wednesday
