Nippy left winger signed on a free from Huddersfield, only three years after the Terriers paid £350,000 for his services.  A player with undoubted talent and speed, his end product was too often lacking in a season of excitement but ultimately little output.  Given a free by Molby, he signed for promoted Plymouth.  Later he was re-signed by ex-City boss Brian Little for Tranmere, then he was re-signed by ex-City boss Brian Horton for Macclesfield Town after a previous loan spell.
August 2008 - after an eighteen month spell out of the game with injury, Beresford signed for non-League side Curzon Ashton.
