Wide man with a superb pedigree north of the border as a youngster and a protege of Alex Ferguson at Aberdeen, Bell came south to the unlikely destination of Shrewsbury to make his fortune, a move that soon turned sour.  After a spell at St Andrews he returned north and played lower division Scottish football into his late 30s.  Is still seen turning out for Aberdeen in the Sky indoor masters competition, and remains well known in Scotland for his hell-raising tendencies as a young man.
