Biography

Hull-born midfielder Russell Fry made his City debut while still a sixteen year old youth teamer, over the next four seasons he made a handful of further appearances before being released by City in the 2007 close season.

Russell had short spells at Halifax Town, Boston United and York City during 2007/08 season. In February 2008 he signed for North Ferriby United where he settled for the next decade or more and achieved legendary status, playing throughout the club’s highs (elevation to the Conference National league in 2016, FA Trophy winners in 2015) and lows (extinction and rebirth in 2019).

Fry made a solitary England under-20 appearance in August 2005, while still on Hull City’s books.
